This blog contains links to products that if bought I may receive a small commission at not extra cost to you.

In this post I have compiled a list of my go to products that I always pack into my carry on bag.

First things first, my bag. I like to take a backpack so that I can still be hands on with the girls, this is my go to travel carry on bag at the moment. I love that it's made out of leather because it's wipe clean, sturdy and looks good. Here is the link to the bag I have, stackers backpack https://amzn.to/3Rpj5gi .

What tech is in my bag? No.1 my mobile phone, it's more of an extension to my body and thus always needs charge, to combat this I always pack a powerpack and charging wire. I like the brand Anker, good quality and not too pricey. Here are the links to the ones I recommend. Powerbank charger https://amzn.to/3EH1ZTw , Charging wire https://amzn.to/3PJ3SFF . The newest addition to my tech is a Bluetooth adapter for my headphones, this plugs into the headphone jack on your plane seat and let's you use your own wireless headphones, it's genius! Headphone Bluetooth adapter https://amzn.to/46b6Msa . When there isn't any films that I want to watch, I love to read a book. Kindles are by far the most convenient way to take multiple books on holiday, the paperweight is both lightweight and has excellent battery. Kindle https://amzn.to/44YupDs

Beauty. I sometimes like to have a pamper on the plane, to pass the time and to try to prevent my skin from drying out due to the air conditioning. These are a few of my favourite beauty bits for travel. I can't go anywhere without my bottle of Garnier vitamin C moisturiser, this is fantastic because it has SPF 25 which is great for protecting your skin when travelling to sunnier climates, it's not sticky or greasy. I always burn my nose and forehead when I go on a beach holiday and since using this moisturiser I haven't, I highly recommend it! Moisturiser https://amzn.to/3t1s8dq . As a full time working mummy of two the bags under my eyes are a permanent feature, I don't get much time to pamper myself so I love to throw a face mask on during a long flight. I love Garnier products at the moment and this mask is just lovely, cooling and hydrating, in an attempt to get off the plane looking calm and refreshed instead of tired and stressed ha ha https://amzn.to/3t1IUJl . I also love to take a general moisturising oil or balm for lips and skin as they panes do dry you out, I like to use this Lip Oil https://amzn.to/455pfpm from DrPawPaw, it's a multi-purpose one so can be used for dry hands too. Talking about hands... sticky fingers! It goes without saying that when travelling with children a packet of wipes is vital. To clean little faces, to sticky fingers and mop up messes, I'm not particular about the ones I buy, I like to try and get the most environmentally friendly ones I can find whilst shopping. Obviously there are rules for taking liquids on board, and they must be stored in a clear bag, I like to use this re-useable one, one I can trust not to rip before the flight home, these clear zip bags are great https://amzn.to/3sSd2Xo .

Essentials. Passports... don't forget the passports! Being the organisation saddo that I am, I like to keep ours safe in a travel organisers with printouts of all other travel information I need, like tickets. I have one similar to this https://amzn.to/3PKhbpe It's good because it's not too bulky and has a carry handle so its easy to keep hold of whilst going through security. I always take my purse with me because I'm not high tech enough to work out how to put all my cards on my phone and don't get me started on store reward cards, I have hundreds of them, so I have a card wallet, I like this one that clips into my backpack https://amzn.to/44TJ0Qp . I also need a pair of sunglasses for when I get to the sunny side, my current favourite are my Kate Spade aviators, I like to keep them safe in their case when storing them in my bag however I usually put them on my head and forget their there. In my bag you can always find a small pharmacy, there would be nothing worse than being in pain and not having paracetamol to help whilst on a plane. I like to take Calpol Fastmelts for the children and just bog standard paracetamol for the adults. I only have to look at the pastry on a sausage roll and I'll get indigestion, and indigestion happens frequently when eating different foods than normal, I like to take a travel sized Gaviscon incase the airplane food decides to try and kill me off mid flight.

This leads into comfort. Everyone needs to be comfortable on a flight for it to go quickly and smoothly. I like to a have a neck pilllow for having a nap, I bought mine from Costco but this one is very similar https://amzn.to/46dwH2s I like how high mine comes up the back of my neck, its memory foam too so it has great support and is comfortable . Planes are notoriously cold, well I think they are, but I'm also always cold regardless of the temperature, so packing a fleece blanket for everyone, has really helped. This one packs really small, not taking up much room in my bag https://amzn.to/3Rruex5 I pack thicker ones for the girls but this does the job. I always take a water bottle with me, liquids are limited to 100ml, and whilst you would have to empty your bottle before you go through security you can refill them the other side and take them on board. I like the insulated bottles for keeping your drink fresh and cold, here is a link to one that I usually use https://amzn.to/3Rpj5gi . I also have a bit of a sweet tooth and always pack a few bags of sweets and chocolate to nibble on throughout the flight. We tend to take bags of Haribo, fruit pastels and crispy M&Ms to keep us going, they're our favourite!

I'm sure there are many things that I have missed off. All the items I use can also be found on Amazon, it's always worth ordering them well in advance incase they end up selling out. Don't forget that you can order your liquids to be delivered and picked up in a store (past security) in the airport before you travel, if you are struggling with space in your case or you need some last minute bits.

My carry on bag and contents can change depending on the length of the stay and where we are going. I will update this blog as I go, adding more links and images of the products I love to use on trips. Thank you for reading and hopefully you picked up some tips and tricks for your next travel day.
