What to wear to Disneyland Paris in the winter.

What the weather is like in Paris in winter?
Unpredictable!!! It can be anything from glorious sunshine, pouring with rain or so cold it snows. We recently travelled to Disneyland Paris at the very start of January and we pretty much had it all. The best advice I can give is to plan outfits around layers, that way you can adapt to the weather, which we had to do on a daily basis and throughout the day.
This is what we wore for each day of our winter trip to Disneyland Paris.
Day One
This was a travel day and we drove, so we needed to be comfortable in the car, it was also pouring with rain for the most part of the day. I opted for some black stretch jeans, a Primark Disney sweatshirt, my black platform Converse and my classic Minnie ears. I did wear a cream thermal vest under my sweatshirt, thermal socks, my big green Superdry coat and had a woolly hat in my backpack for later. My backpack was a black Disney one from Primark, it was a really good size for a day bag as I find that Loungefly bags can be a bit too small. This was a perfect outfit and I found myself putting my Minnie ears in my bag because of the rain and constantly having the hood of my coat up. I accessorised with Kate Spade Minnie Mouse earrings.
The Zippy girls travelled in the PJs as we travelled overnight and swapped into their outfits at the Euro Tunnel. They wore black fleece lined leggings, thermal vest, Primark Disney sweatshirt, their fur lined Doc Marten Boots and their sequin Minnie ears. Their Minnie ears didn’t last very long either and they ended up with their woolly hats on for most of the day. All of us had gloves packed in my bag everyday which we needed in the evenings.
Day Two
This was our first full day in the parks, it was another rainy day and it was much colder. I went for my jumper dress as it’s super snuggly, thermal vest, thermal tights, doc marten socks, doc marten boots and my sherpa Minnie ears. In my bag I had a sherpa bucket hat from Disney for the evening.
The Zippy girls had gorgeous pink woollen outfit from Primark. They wore these with white thermal tights, doc marten boots and pink Minnie Mouse scrunchie. We gave in with the Minnie ears as they constantly had their hoods up and down on their coats. I also had their hats and gloves in my bag for the evening.
Day Three
This day was a sunny day but very chilly. I wore my black jeans, thermal vest again, my Minnie mouse blouse (old from Primark) my classic Minnie ears, and my black converse. I had my gloves and black bobble hat for the evening and accessorised again with my Kate Spade earrings.
The Zippy girls wore black and white outfits from Primark with black thermal tights, and doc marten boots. All kitted out in thermals and hats and their Minnie Mouse Ears. This day we also went to Auberge De Cendrillon with the princesses, so the girls had their princess dresses to wear over the top of their clothes. Izzy decided to keep hers on all evening too.
Day Four
This was our last day in the parks, and we were driving home so we needed to be comfy. I opted for a pair of comfy jeans, thermal vest and a Mickey hoodie, classic Minnie ears and my converse. I had my cream fur lined crocs in the car ready for the drive home. It was glorious sunshine again on this day, so we didn’t need our hats or gloves.
The Zippy girls had leggings, cream sweatshirts, cream fleece jackets, sequin Minnie ears and trainers. Well Pippa started in her trainers until she had a little spill on the pavement and got a little blood on them. So a quick swap into her crocs was needed. When we got to the Eurotunnel, we did another quick swap into the girls Pjs for the overnight drive home.
Top Tips
Ensure you're comfortable, it can be a very long day in the parks if you're cold and clothes that are uncomfortable.
Layers, you need to wear layers. Much better to be too warm and take layers off than be too cold with nothing to put on.
Hats, scarves and gloves. Its a really good idea to get touch screen friendly gloves because you need your phone to navigate the app and to capture the memories on photo. Hats and gloves are really easy to fit into a bag too.
Wear shoes that are comfortable. Nothing worse than blisters, when there is so much walking to do. So pack at least 2 pairs so you can swap and change if you need to.
Waterproofs. Ensure that your coat is waterproof for those down pours. Now our saying is that we would rather be wet in Disney than dry at home, but nobody truly wants to be wet through. You can buy ponchos in Disney but they can be pretty pricey.
